Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop

The workshop is an introduction to Centering Prayer – a contemporary form of prayer of the heart, prayer of simplicity, prayer of faith, prayer of simple regard; a method of reducing the obstacles to the gift of contemplative prayer. Presenters commissioned through Contemplative Outreach will present and talk through four conferences of content, with opportunities for questions/discussion after each session. They will also guide participants through two 20-minute silent prayer sessions or “sits”. Four weekly follow-up meetings are offered to help support new practitioners. Each follow-up meeting will include supporting content with discussion and a “sit”, with meetings typically lasting around 90 minutes.
